Music Therapy In Action - Nathan

Writer: Anita ConnellAnita Connell

Updated: Aug 4, 2022

It's fair to say that Nathan really loves music.  Nathan is naturally quiet but through a program of improvisational music therapy to increase self-expression, Nathan is growing in confidence and recently, he's been getting loud!  Super loud in instrumental play and in this excerpt, significantly louder when singing.

For a long time, we used a microphone to amplify Nathan's voice but through music therapy techniques to build respiratory output, Nathan is audible without it.  Great work Nathan!  Thanks to Michael (music therapist) and Nathan for the share of this music therapy in action.
