Meet Steve. An acquired brain injury means that Steve is relearning life skills. We have designed a program for Steve that uses music therapy interventions to support speech and his physical mobility and Steve has kindly let us share his progress.

Steve works with his music therapist, Olivia, to create songs targetting phonemes and words to improve his speech. Additionally, Steve has been working on increasing his vocal volume and rate of speech all through the medium of music.

Huge thanks to Steve and Olivia for this share of music therapy at Tuned In. If you'd like to know more about how music therapy works, email anita@tunedinmusictherapy.com.

Music therapy is an allied health profession where music is used intentionally and holistically to enhance

health, functioning and well-being. Our programs are person-centred in design and use live music making and improvisational music therapy techniques. Our music therapists are professionally registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association and are focused on strengthening abilities and enhancing an individual’s day-to-day life through music. We are a NDIS registered provider.
