International Day of People with Disabilities

Writer: Anita ConnellAnita Connell

So many great features today across the ABC but our absolute favourite features Dan G, who attends our music therapy programs. Dan is a singer-songwriter who earlier in life experienced a brain injury. You can listen to Dan talk more about what music and music therapy mean to her.

You can also listen to Dan's album, Scissor, Paper, POP on bandcamp.com.

Dan designed and painted the album artwork.

Friday is her favourite day ... and it's one of ours too! Thanks Dan :)

Music therapy is an allied health profession where music is used intentionally and holistically to enhance

health, functioning and well-being. Our programs are person-centred in design and use live music making and improvisational music therapy techniques. Our music therapists are professionally registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association and are focused on strengthening abilities and enhancing an individual’s day-to-day life through music. We are a NDIS registered provider.
