Tuned In Music Therapy have partnered with Living Works to bring you, SafeTALK a half-day training program in suicide alertness. It helps participants recognise a person with thoughts of suicide and connects them with resources who can help them stay safe. Participants don’t need any formal preparation to attend the training—anyone age 15 or older who wants to help create a suicide safer community can learn the simple safeTALK steps.Much more information can be found here  

 

Introducing Joe

Joe Tighe is a practising psychologist in Mona Vale, Sydney who completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales/Black Dog Institute in 2019 on suicide prevention. He is co-founder of the award winning Alive and Kicking Goals suicide prevention project (Broome,2008), and a Livingworks Ambassador providing free (NSW Health funded) training across NSW on the Livingworks safeTALK half-day workshop (NSW health funded until June 30th 2024).

 

COST:  This training is offered FREE as it is funded by NSW health
