Anita completed her Masters of Creative Music Therapy at Western Sydney University and holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from Liverpool University (UK) majoring in piano performance. Anita's music therapy experience includes working with children with autism, children and adolescents in oncology, early intervention parent and child groups, adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, stroke rehabilitation and aged care.
Realising people's full potential has always been at the heart of Anita's career with prior roles in corporate settings focused on developing leadership and organisational performance.
Anita utilises clinical improvisation in her work, grounded in the Nordoff & Robbins music therapy approach to support improvements in the health and well-being of individuals, families and groups that she works with. Anita presents at conferences and events on the value of music therapy and how it can create positive change for all abilities. She is currently completing her PhD at the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development.
